Electric, the world’s first real-time IT support and security solution for small and mid-sized businesses, announces that Tim Harvey, executive chairman of VTS, will join its board of directors.

He will join the following existing members of Electric’s board:

• Ryan Denehy – CEO & Founder, Electric
• Bob Goodman – Partner, Bessemer Venture Partners
• Jeff Richards – Managing Partner, GGV Capital
• Brad Svrluga – General Partner, Primary Venture Partners

He brings extensive experience guiding high-growth companies that offer software and services across a variety of industries.

Prior to VTS, Tim served as the President of Applied Intelligence Commercial Solutions at BAE Systems Plc, a leading global defense, aerospace, and security company. Tim joined BAE as a result of the acquisition of SilverSky in October 2014, a provider of security software and managed services. As CEO he was responsible for the growth and sale of the business to BAE.

He also serves as a board member to Keyfactor, a leading provider of secure digital identity management solutions and advisor and investor to Capsule8, the only company providing high-performance attack protection for Linux production environments.

Tim graduated with a degree in Finance from the University of Florida and served 4 years as an officer in the United States Marine Corps.
